Lavrov called Ukraine’s statements a “return” of Crimean demagoguery

The Kiev regime, in the event of a “return” from Crimea, will destroy the Russian language and culture on the peninsula, these statements are demagoguery. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

He recalled the statements of the Ukrainian authorities, who demanded the capture of Crimea and “promised under oath” that immediately after that they would “destroy the Russian language and culture in Crimea and make Ukrainian and world culture dominate there”. .

“We have already seen what refractions take place in world culture. I am convinced that these demagogic statements are understandable, their purpose, their meaning is understandable,” Lavrov told a press conference after talks with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Ivan Gil.

Lavrov is on a working trip to South America these days. As part of a Latin American tour, he visited Brazil and then Venezuela.
