The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs published today, Thursday, on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, the most important provisions and etiquette of the holiday in the Islamic community.
And through its official account on Twitter, the ministry enumerated in a video clip the most important rules and etiquette that a Muslim performs during the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, and among the provisions were the following:
** Paying zakat al-Fitr The Ministry stated that paying zakat al-Fitr is obligatory for every Muslim, male and female, old and young, and cited verses from the Holy Qur’an:
** Performing the Eid prayer and performing the Eid prayer is a communal obligation for Ahmad, and a confirmed Sunnah for the public.
** The prohibition of fasting on the days of the two Eids. On the authority of Abu Saad, may God be pleased with him, he said: ((The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, forbade fasting on the Day of Fitr and the Day of Sacrifice) Narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim.
As for the etiquette of Eid al-Fitr, the ministry indicated in its section that..
** Showing the takbeer from the night of Eid until the time of performing the prayer.
** The desirability of washing for the Eid prayer. In addition to washing, it is desirable to wear perfume and adornment, and to wear the best clothes for men, as ((The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, had a tunic that he wore on the two Eids)) Narrated by Ibn Khuzaymah.
As for women, they go out without perfume or adorn themselves, according to what the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: ((And let them go out while they are slipping away)) Narrated by Abu Dawood.
** Eat dates before going out to pray on Eid al-Fitr
** Going out to the prayer place by one way and returning by another way. On the authority of Jabir, may God be pleased with him, he said: (May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, if it was the day of Eid, he would change the way) Narrated by Al-Bukhari.
** Congratulation on the feast, on the authority of Jubair bin Nafir, may God have mercy on him, he said: ((When the companions of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, met on the day of the feast, they would say to each other: May God accept from us and from you)) Classed as hasan by Ibn Hajar in Al-Fath, and its chain of transmission was authenticated by Al-Albani.
** Visiting family, relatives, brothers, and relatives
