Dehradun,. Congress General Secretary Harish Rawat on Thursday said that he had political talks with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar but refused to comment on whether he was sent to Patna on a special mission by the party high command.

But, when asked whether the party high command had sent him to Patna on some special mission, he refused to comment on it. There was a long spat between the two leaders. The meeting is believed to be a sequel to the recent meeting between Rahul Gandhi and Kumar. Rawat’s aides said the meeting was held to strengthen opposition unity in view of preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
