In Kiev, a bright flash over the capital was explained by the fall of a NASA space satellite to Earth

A bright flash in the sky above Kiev, which was seen by many residents of the Ukrainian capital late Wednesday evening, was caused by the fall of a NASA space satellite to Earth. This was stated by the head of the Kiev military administration, Sergei Popko, on his social network pages.

He also denied reports of the work of the Air Defense Forces (AD) over the city.

“In order to prevent debris from falling to the ground, an air alert has been announced,” he said.

At the same time, Andrii Yermak, chief of staff of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, initially announced the air defense works in Kiev. However, after a short time, he deleted this message from his Telegram channel.

On Wednesday evening, explosions shook several Ukrainian cities, including Dnepropetrovsk. An air alert was announced in several regions of the country.
