Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Kiev authorities explained the flash in the sky over the city by the fall of the American NASA satellite

The Kiev administration officially confirmed the version with the fall of a NASA satellite in the sky of the Ukrainian capital. The country’s air force has yet to comment on the situation.

  • To prevent debris from falling to the ground, an air raid alert has been announced. Air defense did not work, said KMVA chief Sergey Popko.

The NASA spacecraft that fell was called RHESSI (Reuven Ramaty High Energy Solar Spectroscopic Imager). It was launched 21 years ago to study the Sun.

The satellite weighed 270 kilograms. Most of it was burned in the fall. NASA has reported that the risk of harming anyone on Earth is low – about 1 “chance” in 2467.

On the evening of April 19, a bright white flash ignited in the sky above the Ukrainian capital. Eyewitnesses began to publish the moment of the fall of an unknown object.
