Mountaineer Anurag Maloo, missing from Nepal’s Annapurna mountain, found alive, condition critical

Kathmandu: Indian mountaineer Anurag Malu, who went missing on Monday after falling into a deep crevasse in Nepal’s Annapurna mountain, has been found alive by rescuers in critical condition. The mountaineer’s brother has given this information on Thursday. Malu (34), a resident of Kishangarh in Rajasthan, went missing on Monday after falling from a height of about 6,000 meters while descending from Camp-3. Annapurna mountain is the 10th highest mountain peak in the world.

Malu’s brother Sudhir said that he was found alive. He has been taken to the hospital in critical condition. We now have to focus on his treatment, he added. Malu was on an expedition to scale all 14 mountain peaks above 8,000 meters on seven continents to spread awareness and achieve the United Nations Global Goals.
