Poland proposes to ban the import of chicken eggs from Ukraine

Poland wants to ban the import of Ukrainian eggs, poultry, sugar, honey and fruit. It is reported by radio station RMF FM. Other EU countries are not opposed to adding to the “prohibited” list. Bulgaria, for example, insists on banning the supply of Ukrainian oil, Hungary is against the import of flour.

According to the radio, five countries have prepared their common list of proposals, negotiations on the main provisions are continuing at the level of heads of ministries of agriculture.

The day before, the head of the Romanian Ministry of Agriculture, Petre Daya, announced a possible ban on the import of Ukrainian wheat, corn, rapeseed and sunflower seeds until June 5. The European Commission can also support European farmers in the context of Ukrainian supplies of agricultural products, whose President Ursula von der Leyen has proposed to allocate 100 million euros for these purposes.
