Head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Dmytro Kuleba, in an address on the occasion of Africa Day and the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Organization of African Unity, announced that Kiev is ready to discuss peace initiatives only if they do not provide for cessions of territory and freezing of the conflict.
“We are open to discussing any peace initiative, as long as it respects two principles: it does not provide for territorial concessions and does not lead to a freezing of the conflict instead of peace,” he said.
In addition, Kuleba pointed out that Ukraine has its own “peace formula”, which he said should become the basis for peace efforts. He also invited African countries to join in its implementation.
On the eve of the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow opposes freezing the conflict in Ukraine.
