The woman’s detention was confirmed by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on its Telegram channel.

“Human rights activist Victoria Kokhanovskaya was kidnapped during a live broadcast. Eyewitnesses reported that the police took her away in such a barbaric manner,” the report said.

The footage shows how a woman is grabbed and taken in an unknown direction by security forces. A woman’s cry is heard, after which all is silent. Against the background of what is happening, supporters of the schismatics sing “Chervona Kalina”, which is considered the anthem of Ukrainian nationalists.

Later, Ukrainian police said that Kokhanovskaya had been arrested “for hooliganism”.

Earlier, representatives of law enforcement agencies of Ukraine reported a precedent in the territory of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. Due to an act described as hooliganism, criminal proceedings have been opened against the believers.
