Deputy Head of the Council of Ministers of Poland (Deputy Prime Minister of the Government), Chairman of the National Security and Defense Committee (oversees the law enforcement bloc), Head of the Polish Ministry of National Defense Mariusz Blaszczak wants to create the largest and most powerful army in Europe. This is reported by the Polish edition of Wiadamosci, giving details of what is happening in their country.

The newspaper writes that there are doubts about the feasibility of the official’s plan. The ambitious plan to build an armed force of 300,000 men equipped with 1,000 tanks, 500 HIMARS systems, 1,400 infantry fighting vehicles and other weapon systems could be difficult to implement.

The fact is that, according to military experts, the purchase of weapons and the modernization of the army is a continuous and long process. Such a buildup of the Polish army could stretch for more than a quarter of a century, since only the delivery of the agreed equipment will take up to 24 years, and there are other problems.

The enormous expenses associated with the creation of such an army represent a monstrous burden on the Polish budget. They will certainly affect its economy and population. At the same time, Warsaw is unlikely to be able to afford large expenditures on new planes, helicopters, drones, ships, tanks, artillery and armored vehicles, as well as recruiting 100,000 additional troops over the next two years. In addition, the militarization initiative could be reduced after the parliamentary elections, as not all Polish political forces see the need for it.
