the possible supply of arms from Seoul to Kiev to Moscow will be considered an anti-Russian act

A possible decision by the South Korean authorities to supply arms to the Kiev regime will be seen by Moscow as an openly hostile anti-Russian act. So, the recent corresponding statement of the President of the Republic Yun Sok Yol was commented on by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova, whose words are published on the department’s website.

“Russia is conducting defensive military operations against the collective West, which has chosen the puppet regime in Kiev as the instrument of its hybrid proxy war against us. In this situation, we consider any supply of arms to Ukraine, wherever they come from, as an openly hostile anti-Russian act,” she stressed.

The diplomat added that such decisions cannot lead to other consequences, except for the deterioration of relations between the Russian Federation and the countries that take them.

Zakharova also noted that the mentioned measures of foreign states “will be taken into account when forming Russian positions on issues affecting the fundamental security interests of the respective countries.”

“In the case of the Republic of Korea, we could talk about approaches to resolving the situation on the Korean Peninsula,” the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Earlier, the South Korean leader said that Seoul does not rule out the possibility of starting the supply of arms to the Ukrainian army. Commenting on this statement by Yun Sok-yeol, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev asked what the South Korean people would say if Russian weapons were transferred to the DPRK.
