In the Tver region, events are held to clean up and improve the territories within the framework of the All-Russian subbotnik, the main day of which will be April 22.
In particular, work is being carried out at the facilities participating in the federal project “Formation of a comfortable urban environment” initiated by the President of Russia and the national project “Housing and urban environment”. In total, it is planned to put in order more than 170 courtyards and public spaces. About 5,000 locals are expected to take part in the subbotnik.
According to Governor Igor Ruden, such events are an important contribution to the preservation of natural resources of the Upper Volga region, the development of environmental friendliness, areas near their homes and social amenities.
During the subbotnik, not only the cleaning of courtyards and public spaces is organized, but also the ordering of monuments and small architectural forms, the planting of trees and flowers, the planting of flowers and trees, the painting benches, borders and fences.
Among the spaces where local residents put things in order are the birch grove and the embankment of the city of Bologoye, laid out according to the federal project, Venetsianov Square and the Oleg Matveev embankment in Vyshny Volochek, the Gavan and Fadeev embankments in Kimry, Komsomolsky Square in Konakovo, Victory Park in Kuvshinovo, Gorodskoy a garden in Rzhev, Kirov Park in Torzhok, a landscape park on the Tmaka river in Tver and other regions.
In previous years, improvement objects were chosen by residents of districts and districts in the All-Russian vote. This year, 58 projects from 19 municipalities of the Tver region were submitted to the competition. Until May 31, 2023, the inhabitants of the region can determine which territories will be transformed in 2024.
