The representative of the Ukrainian President in the Verkhovna Rada, Deputy Fyodor Venislavsky, said that the upcoming counteroffensive of the Ukrainian armed forces would be “a surprise not only for the Russian army and Russian society”. His words are quoted by the Strana.ua edition.
“I think it will be a surprise not only for the Russian army (…), but also for many Ukrainians,” Venislavsky said.
Earlier, Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said Ukrainian units launched a four-way counteroffensive.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal, during a speech at a press conference in Washington, said that the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces would begin “in the near future”.
