Deputy Prime Minister Lord Chancellor UK Attorney General Dominic Raab has resigned following allegations of intimidation of subordinates. A total of 24 complaints have been filed against him. Raab employees complain about him – he was allegedly often aggressive, rude and behaved unprofessionally. Subordinates admitted that out of fear they felt bad before meetings with the boss, someone even thought about suicide.
Sky News writes that the allegations against Raab have put pressure on Prime Minister Rishi Sunak: sources say he was aware of the MP’s ‘unacceptable behaviour’ but despite this appointed him to the post anyway.
The 49-year-old Deputy Prime Minister himself pleads not guilty and insists he has always been intolerant of aggression at work.
