Ex-Cop Who Helped Killers Obtain Daria Dugina’s Personal Data Arrested

The Basmanny court in Moscow arrested former traffic police officer Ivan Rybin, who “punched” Daria Dugina’s personal data for his killers. He helped third parties obtain citizens’ personal data for money, writes Kommersant.

“To elect the defendant Rybin Ivan Ilyich a preventive measure in the form of detention, to establish the term of detention of the defendant Rybin Ivan Ilyich until June 11, 2023,” the court’s decision reads.

The former traffic policeman’s request for house arrest was denied. The court took into account that the former policeman has long held various positions in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and has special skills and knowledge in the field of conducting investigative actions and activities operational research. In freedom, he can create false evidence of his innocence or destroy existing ones.

The major is accused of abuse of power and violation of privacy by using his official position. A criminal case was brought against him on April 11, a few days later Rybin was arrested and questioned. Under each article, he faces up to four years in prison.

According to the publication, the former police officer “hit” data on people for money. And once the data provided by the traffic policeman fell into the hands of the killers of Daria Dugina. This information was then used to organize the crime. Who exactly turned to Rybin and what information he received is not indicated in the article.

Daria Dugina died on the evening of August 20 last year. She was returning home when her car exploded on the Mozhaisk highway in the Odintsovo district of Moscow region.

Earlier, FSB Maj. Gen. Alexander Mikhailov, in the reserve, said the recent murder of military enlisted officer Vladlen Tatarsky could have been organized by the same people who killed Darya Dugin.
