Hamad University House presents its latest publications in London

Hamad Bin Khalifa University Publishing House participated in the 51st London Book Fair, which was held in the exhibition hall «Olympia» in the west of the British capital, London, in order to be at the forefront of the international publishing houses participating in this exhibition, as 1,700 institutions from 60 countries were present at the exhibition. The world, and nearly 25 thousand specialists in the publishing industry and writers, and the Hamad Bin Khalifa University Publishing House presented its latest publications of books and translations for Qatari, Arab and Western writers in the Qatari pavilion participating in the exhibition. This is the fourth participation of the Hamad Bin Khalifa University Publishing House in the London Book Fair, and Qatar was one of the participating Arab countries, along with Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Kuwait, Egypt and Tunisia. Rima Ismail, Director of Communications and Special Projects and Acting Director of Publishing at the House, who is responsible for the pavilion, said in statements to Qatari media: The presence of the House in the London Book Fair and other exhibitions is among our priorities for the House to deliver its message to all parts of the world, as the House puts its name firmly on the publishing map. At the world level, with its presence in such international exhibitions, and indicated that the house displays approximately 195 books by Qatari, Arab and foreign pens. For Kamam Al-Maadeed, the house also presented the story “When Ideas Visit Us” in joint cooperation between the writer Sheikha Al-Ziyara and the Kuwaiti writer Nasser Al-Dossary, nicknamed “Mr. Noun”, and it is considered a distinguished work for children. Regarding the pavilion’s logo, which attracted many visitors, Rima Ismail said: This logo was chosen to express the house’s message to reach all parts of the world through its cultural and literary production. Contemporary cultural, educational and creative production for children.
