On April 19, a high-level promotional activity on the World Development Initiative was held at the Joint Headquarters in New York, with the theme “New Progress in the Global Development Initiative, New Action on the Sustainable Development Agenda”. The Chinese National International Development Cooperation Agency, the Chinese Permanent Delegation to the United Nations, and relevant UN agencies jointly hosted the event, which was attended by more than 200 people, including the deputy premiers of Mongolia, ministerial-level officials from Cuba and Russia .
In a speech, Luo Chaohui, head of the Chinese National International Development Cooperation Agency, said that China put forth important ideas such as building a community with a shared future for mankind, jointly building the “Belt and Road”, and global development initiatives, and Contributed Chinese wisdom and strength to the revitalization of global development. China promotes Chinese-style modernization and is committed to high-quality development and high-level opening-up. China has accumulated useful experience, provided viable and exemplary practical solutions for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Luo Chaohui detailed China’s implementation of global development initiatives, the significant progress made in building the “Belt and Road” initiative, and China’s outstanding contribution to the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. He said that China will continue to practice the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind and promote the building of a global development partnership.
