Manchester. Manchester City star footballer Erling Holland has achieved another milestone before the end of his first season in the Premier League.
Hollande is now the youngest player in UEFA Champions League history to score 35 goals. He achieved this feat at the age of 22 years and 272 days. Holland left behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in this matter. Kylian Mbappé of France is in second place at the age of 23 years and 269 days. Third-placed Lionel Messi has scored 35 goals in the Champions League at the age of 23 and 307.
It is not the only record that Hollande has broken in his first season for Manchester City. Earlier, he scored two goals in the Premier League against Leicester City to take his tally of goals in the league to 32 this season. With his 31st goal, he broke the record held by Kevin Phillips, who scored 30 goals for Sutherland in 1999–2000.
Holland needs only three more goals to break the record of 34 goals in a season. The record for most goals in a Premier League season is held by Andrew Cole and Alan Shearer, who scored 34 goals each in the 1993/94 and 1994/95 seasons. (Agency, H.S.)
