The magazine’s editor was fired, where the neural network-generated Schumacher interview was published

The editor of Die Aktuelle magazine, which featured a fake interview with legendary Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher, has been fired, according to the publisher’s website. Anne Hoffmann has held this position since 2009.

“Funke apologizes to the family of Michael Schumacher. This tasteless and misleading article should never have appeared,” the editor said.

Recall that earlier the magazine published material published in the form of an exclusive interview with the pilot. He has not appeared in public for ten years due to his injury.

Later, it turned out that the article was generated by a neural network in a chat bot. A representative of the Schumacher family said they would take legal action in connection with this scandalous situation.
