G7 agriculture ministers pledged to help Ukraine clear farmland
At a meeting in Miyazaki, Japan, G7 agriculture ministers agreed to help Ukraine clear land from mines. They also intend to make joint efforts to restore the destroyed infrastructure.
In a joint declaration at the end of the meeting, it is indicated that the assistance will consist of an exchange of experiences, knowledge and expertise.
In addition, the Heads of G7 Departments will continue to support Ukrainian farmers’ access to finance and resources. In particular, we are talking about seeds and the introduction of digital technologies to increase sustainable productivity.
G7 ministers welcome the creation of a UK-based cereals database. “It can be used to verify the origin of grain shipments,” the statement said.
