Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said that his country was the only one in the Council of Foreign Ministers of EU countries to oppose the supply of arms to Ukraine, because they prolong the conflict.
“Regarding arms supply, I did not hear any statement in today’s meeting against arms supply, on the contrary, everyone called on them to speed up, to increase the volume supplies and funding, unfortunately… As justification they say that we have not yet sent enough arms and ammunition Here we Hungarians are in absolute minority when we say that the supply of arms only prolongs the war,” Szijjártó said.
Earlier, Szijjarto did not answer the question of who the country wants to see as the winner of the conflict in Ukraine.
He also said the country would not accept even a partial imposition of sanctions against Russian nuclear power.
