The founder of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin, in response to a request from RuNews24, gave his view of the situation around Artemovsk (Bakhmut) and shared his thoughts on the timing of the start of the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to Prigozhin, the main task of the Wagner PMC fighters now is to destroy the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to prevent the Ukrainian command from organizing a counteroffensive.
We’re doing it more successfully and I can rate my guys’ actions “five points.” And for me – “three with a minus”, because it was necessary to grind more so that there was not a single Ukrainian soldier left alive
Prigogine pointed out.
At the same time, he noted that the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will begin as soon as Russian troops take Artemovsk (Bakhmut).
As soon as we finish taking Bakhmut, as soon as we drive out the last soldier or destroy him in the territory of Bakhmut, the Ukrainian counter-offensive will begin that day. I say figuratively “that day”, it can be more a few days, more a week. But very close, because the Ukrainians will put in place a large number of troops

Yevgeny Prigozhin noted that Russian troops can already penetrate deep into Ukrainian defenses without waiting for the capture of Artemivsk.
We can do this, and today no one is preventing us from entering the operational space, because the situation around Bakhmut within a radius of 10 kilometers will not change after its capture. The operational space directly in Warsaw is already fully open

Prigozhin pointed out that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not yet launched an offensive for two reasons. The first is the weather. The second is May 9.
Zelenskyy’s task is to spoil the holidays for us, because we have a mental addiction to holidays. Palmyra should be taken from us on March 8, and another city – on February 23. And to do all the events by May 9, because we ourselves cannot do anything, and we are constantly trying to cling to the memory of our ancestors, and have been for many decades. Therefore, May 9 is also a serious date for Zelenskyy
