Muscovites and guests of the capital are invited to the festival of good deeds

– Published on:

In 2023, the Easter Gift Festival takes place from April 15 to 23 in 25 places in the city: four in the center and 21 in the other districts. Master classes, cooking classes, concerts and the most interesting sporting events have been prepared for Muscovites – time can be spent with profit and interest! The festival was greatly appreciated by the mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin.

“Congratulations on a bright holiday! In Moscow, the Easter Gift Festival opened at 25 venues. It’s already traditional. Most of these places are located in different parts of Moscow, so Muscovites can come to the city center and close to where they live. Anywhere you can relax, walk, chat. And, of course, it is important that during these festivals we gather many charitable organizations, foundations that help those who need this help, including those who are fighting today in a special military operation, and new territories . Thank you very much to everyone who donates for good causes, and to those who just came, communicated and created a spiritual atmosphere of spring. I invite everyone to the festival,” Sergei Sobyanin said.

One of the venues of the festival is literally under the windows of the City Hall – on Tverskaya Square, at the foot of the monument to Yuri Dolgoruky. The square has turned into a wonderful green oasis, decorated with pretty red and white decorative Easter eggs. Interesting events are held in the pavilions – for example, an embroidery master class “Easter Holiday”, in a cafe you can buy cakes or a piece of Easter cake, and there are enough benches for everything the world. A nice place to sit and relax a bit listening to the Easter music floating on the pond.

In the Orthodox tradition, Easter week is a time when you should do good deeds. For this purpose, Moscow Helps pavilions have been organized on the premises of the Easter Gift festival: everyone can bring gifts and donations there for NWO participants and residents of new territories. Here you can bring men’s gift sets, books, tea sets, confectionery, personal hygiene products and, of course, good greeting cards. Donation collection points are open according to the schedules of the festival venues. A total of 23 such gift collection points were opened during the festival. In addition, around forty charitable foundations are taking part in the Easter festival this year. By purchasing souvenirs with Easter symbols, festival guests donate funds to help those in need.

By the way, businessmen of the capital contributed to the support of citizens doing military service in the NVO zone. The founder of the Meat & Fish restaurant chain, the state commissioner of catering in the capital, Sergei Mironov, told the Moskva agency that Meat & Fish employees who went to serve under contract in the area of a special military operation will continue to receive monthly salaries. Moreover, if an employee received less than 75,000 rubles, he would, according to Mironov, be paid 75,000 rubles; if more, then the amount he won is paid out. Jobs are also reserved for employees.

Employees of Kroshka Potato, who traveled to the NWO zone, will also retain their jobs and 75,000 rubles in compensation per month. This was stated by the general director of “Crumbs-potatoes” Sergey Zaitsev.

The Easter Gift Festival will host inclusive performances and creative workshops from charitable foundations. In addition, there is an important condition: people must be able to attend the event within walking distance of their homes, so that interesting things happen not only in the center of the capital, but also in the neighborhoods. On Profsoyuznaya Street, in Kuzminki, Teply Stan, Otradnoy or Matveevsky – everywhere you can find something worthy of attention.

By the way, wooden products are sold on Tverskaya Square – under the touching name “Nyashki from a piece of wood”.

You can have a good meal in the Place de la Révolution – the festival kiosks offer a variety of dishes, from pancakes and Easter cakes to shish kebabs. And here it should be noted that the Muscovites, it seems, finally began to speak Russian again and abandon foreign borrowed words in speech. So, for example, instead of “hamburgers” in the menu of the festival pavilions, simple and understandable “cutlet buns” appeared, and Spanish churros donuts were named with the sweet and touching word “khrumtiki”. Good decision: does the word “churros” mean anything to ordinary Russian Orthodox? And in general, the atmosphere of touching sincerity reigns here. Look at the menu! “Pickles”, “sauerkraut” or, for example, “delicious pancakes” – it is immediately clear that these dishes are cooked with love.

“Mom, can we buy some pancakes?” It says delicious! begging a boy in a funny green cap.

Mom only smiles: how not to buy it?

Gastronomy is an important part of the festival: you can not only taste food, but also learn how to cook. For active participants of the master classes, a unique gift book of holiday recipes has been prepared, which contains the secrets of baking traditional Easter cakes, ideas for healthy Easter meals and practical tips for preparing a festive table for the whole family.

The main dish of Easter week is, of course, Easter cakes. If you pass by all the places, you will be able to collect a good collection: a classic hand-painted Easter cake, an Easter cake with nuts and white chocolate, an Easter cake decorated with eggs with chocolate and nuts, spelled cake with walnut cherry flour, spelled fig and Belgian chocolate cake, lavender cake, dried fruit and nut cake in lemon glaze, cottage cheese cake, etc Also on the shelves are gingerbread Easter eggs, national Russian gingerbread with honey with dried fruits, pies, waffles and pancakes with filling , meat specialties for the festive table, as well only a separate menu for breaking the fast: porridge according to monastic recipes, various soups, meat baked with sour cream and other dishes.

It is worth caring these days not only for people, but also for our little brothers. The feature of the site on Tsvetnoy Boulevard is the Four-Legged Friend project. Specialists from 16 foundations to help homeless animals will talk about their work and how to properly raise pets, while veterinarians will check their health, grooming salon masters will offer procedures for hair care , nails, eyes and ears of pets. An exhibition of cats and dogs from shelters will open on the site, where you can choose a friend and take him home. Guests of the site will be able to watch a fashion show for pets, participate in fundraising for Donbass zoos and leave gifts for animals that have not yet found their homes.
