In Poonch, that army vehicle was blown up by the terrorists with grenades and rockets. The army has been infuriated after the incident in which the soldiers on board were carrying goods for those observing fasting in the month of Ramzan. Five to seven terrorists were involved in this attack. This has come to the fore in the investigation of the army, police and other security agencies. According to sources, four of these terrorists are from across the border i.e. Pakistan, who carried out the act by involving local terrorists through their Pakistani handlers.

Based on this input, the investigation into the Poonch attack has been handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The NIA team is headed by a DING level officer. According to the army, two groups of seven to 10 Pakistani terrorists have executed this circle. Hundreds of jawans have been deployed in Bhatta Durai area for the purpose of stacking them. Not only detectives, drones and combat weapons have been deployed to help them, but the NIA team has also reached. It was necessary that the whole of Jammu and Kashmir is on the boil against this cycle and there are reports of anti-Pakistan demonstrations at various places. Defense sources have accepted that the same terrorists are involved in the attack who have been active in this area for the last one and a half year and once in October 2021, they have killed hundreds of army personnel for more than 20 days. Even then nine army men were killed. After the attack, along with issuing high alert in the area, movement on this route has been stopped.

While instructions have been issued to the local people not to move out of their homes till the search operation is over. After this incident in Poonch, the whole country is also on boil. Initial investigation has revealed that the terrorists first fired at the army vehicle from one side, when there was panic, they started firing from the other side and also from behind. Sticky bombs (anti-tank) were also used. According to sources, this method of attack on army vehicles is similar to that of militant organizations in the Northeast. It has probably come to the fore for the first time in Kashmir. In October 2021, terrorists attacked the army in Poonch’s Bhatta Durai area. In this also four army soldiers were martyred. The search operation also went on for about a fortnight. But no arrests have been made so far. Actually there are dense forests in Bhatta Durai. There are many cavernous places to hide here. Although it is only 20 kilometers away from the LoC. It is easy to run across the border after a crime. At present there is terror of Ghaznavi force in Rajairi and Poonch.

Jaish’s affiliate PAFF has claimed responsibility for the incident, but it is suspected that Lashkar may be behind it. This has been done with the intention of creating panic among the common people before the Amarnath Yatra.
