According to a survey conducted by the Doctor’s Guide service, the biggest problem was the lack of endocrinologists in the outpatient department of Russian health care.
The survey addressed issues in the fight against diabetes. 60% of respondents agreed that there is an acute shortage of endocrinologists in outpatient clinics. 1184 doctors participated in the survey, writes RBC.
Doctors have called low salaries the second problem in the fight against diabetes. This item was noted by 54.7% of respondents. A tangible problem is the low patient awareness of the disease (53.6%).
Half of the respondents indicated that interdisciplinary work is poorly established in Russian healthcare. Furthermore, 41.1% of physicians consider burnout to be a negative factor.
