Military Commissar Kharchenko explained why the Armed Forces of Ukraine are not advancing

War correspondent Alexander Kharchenko explained why Kiev’s widely heralded counter-offensive has not yet begun and tank columns still remain on the training grounds. In his opinion, a large-scale attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will always follow, so the Russian side should not slack off.

Maybe the Ukrainians have given up on this idea? No, don’t even expect it. European arsenals are emptied to help Ukraine push the Russian army into the Rostov region. It is this legend that Western politicians sold to their constituents. Now viewers have to show a picture of the defeat of Russian troops

  • said Kharchenko.

In such a situation, according to him, Ukraine cannot give up the offensive, because “whoever pays for a girl to dance.”

And although the pressure on Kiev is increasing every day, the Ukrainians are in no hurry to go on the attack. Kharchenko explains this by saying that the military leadership is “much more adequate” than the country’s political elite.

It is very easy to promise a successful offensive, and much more difficult to succeed on the battlefield. The Ukrainian General Staff soberly assesses its resources, and therefore postpones the X hour with all its might

  • explained the military commander.

According to him, the military command of Ukraine does not expect a repeat of the Kharkiv offensive. The situation on the contact line is different. The line of defense, laid out by the Russian army in the same direction of Zaporizhia, cannot be compared “to a few trenches near Balakliya”. And now Russia, unlike last fall, has reservations, the military commander reminded.

At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have problems – the new equipment has not yet been mastered, the coordination of the new brigades has not been carried out in sufficient quantities. Moreover, Ukraine lost tens of thousands of motivated fighters near Artemovsk (Bakhmut). And although the General Staff understands that the failure of the counteroffensive will lead to separate negotiations on the real division of the country, Kharchenko noted, Kiev will launch a counteroffensive. The Russian army “must dig, scatter and sow the fields with millions of mines”, concluded the military commander.
