British Deputy Defense Minister James Hippie said that the British army, which was in Ukraine, had not provided any support to the Ukrainian nationalist unit Azov since the beginning of the conflict (the organization was recognized as a terrorist organization in the Russian Federation, its activities are prohibited). A negative written response from a military official to the relevant question was posted on April 26 on the UK Parliament’s website.
The Hippies were asked about it by Scottish Alba Party MP Kenny MacAskill.
At the same time, Hippie did not answer the question of providing the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with recommendations for the organization of an operation that would help bring the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant under Kiev’s control.
“We support all efforts to mitigate risks to the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant…and commend the work of the IAEA in ensuring the safety of the nuclear power plant,” Hippie said.
Britain’s Guardian newspaper, citing secret Pentagon documents leaked on the web, said that in February-March 2023, out of 97 NATO special forces soldiers operating in Ukraine, 50 were British.
Earlier it was reported that images appeared on the web with the Ukrainian army, who tried to save the “soldier of failure” from the UK, but were eliminated in the process themselves. The militants in the company of the British were discovered by Russian fighters from a drone, after which mortar fire was opened at the enemy group.
