Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee Yuriy Shvytkin commented on the Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive, saying it was possible, but would be the “last gasp” of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensyy, reports Izvestia.
Shvytkin also pointed out that Western countries provide financial and military assistance to the Ukrainian army, so the Ukrainian armed forces are organizing an offensive.
“There will be a counter-offensive, since there is a supply of financial resources, there is a supply of Western weapons and mercenaries. Of course, this indicates that the Ukrainian armed forces are preparing for a counter-offensive,” he said.
Previously, the founder of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was inevitable. According to him, it is raining now, and on May 2 they should stop, and only after the ground dries up will the Ukrainian troops be ready to move.
