Twitter users ridiculed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who said his phone conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping was a powerful impetus for the development of bilateral relations.
Many noted that Zelenskyy had “begged” for a call from Xi Jinping, and also pointed out that he would now start begging from China.
“Did you finally beg Xi for a phone call?”, “Are you going to beg from China too?”, readers wrote.
Moreover, commentators said the West was short on money, so Zelenskyy ran east and also wondered when the peace talks would start.
“The West ran out of money, Kiev ran East for them”, “And when will the peace talks take place?”, Users said.
