Last night an air alert was announced across Ukraine. In the city of Uman, a residential building and warehouses came under rocket fire. According to the latest data, as a result of a Russian missile or fragments of a downed missile hitting a multi-storey building, seven people were killed, including a child. More than 10 were injured. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko. Rescue work continues.

“As a result of a missile attack on Uman, around 10 apartment buildings were damaged. In one of them, an entire entrance was destroyed. People remain under the rubble. Unfortunately, there are injuries and deaths, including a child,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a statement.

Uman is located in the center of Ukraine, far from the front line.

In Dnipro, a private house was destroyed following a nighttime rocket attack by the Russian army. Two people died, including a two-year-old girl. Three people were injured, said the head of the Dnepropetrovsk regional administration, Sergei Lysak.

In addition, the building of a private company was destroyed in Dnipro, and the construction base is still on fire. According to Lysak, the military shot down seven Russian cruise missiles.

11 missiles and two drones were shot down in the Kiev region, wrote Sergei Popko, head of the Kiev city military administration. No casualties were reported. As a result of falling debris, a local power line was broken in the Obolonsky district of Kiev and the road surface was damaged.

According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, during the reflection of a missile strike that night, the Ukrainian air defense shot down 21 of the 23 Russian cruise missiles, as well as two drones. The blow was delivered by Tu-95 bombers from the Caspian Sea.

On Thursday evening, Russian troops fired missiles at Nikolaev. According to the latest data, one person died and 23 were injured. There is a child among the victims. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the incident a crime against humanity.

Russia does not comment on reports of missile strikes and generally claims not to be involved in civilian deaths.
