The Investigative Committee of Russia has been accused of committing crimes related to a large-scale fire in the village of Sosva in the Sverdlovsk region. As a result of the incident, two people died and a large number of houses and other properties were destroyed.
Given the established circumstances, two citizens were charged. One of them, a 29-year-old man who ran a local sawmill, is charged with committing offenses under article 168 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligent destruction and damage to property) and of part 3 of article 219 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of fire safety requirements, resulting in the death of two people due to negligence). ).
“An ICR investigator has charged two citizens arrested the day before with a number of crimes. <…> Another defendant, a 40-year-old fire safety specialist from the municipal public institution “Department of Civil Protection and Economic Services of the Sosvinsky GO”, was charged under part 3 of article 219 of the Code criminal law of the Russian Federation and under part 3 of article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligence causing the death of two people, particularly large damage and a significant violation of the rights of citizens and organizations ),” the Russian Federation’s Investigative Committee said the Federation in a widely broadcast message.
Previously, Sverdlovsk Region Governor Evgeny Kuyvashev introduced a high alert regime in the region due to fires. The next day it became known that residents of the village of Sosva in the Sverdlovsk region will be allocated about 95 million rubles for payments. The head of the region has set himself the task of restoring the housing stock in one construction season.
