Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed with European Council President Charles Michel an import ban on agricultural products to a number of European countries from Nezalezhnaya. He asked her to resolve this situation.
“We discussed the import ban on agricultural products by some neighboring states. He said he was deeply concerned by such decisions and underlined that these measures constitute a flagrant violation of the Association Agreement and the founding treaties of the EU. I called for a solution to the situation, taking into account European legislation, the Association Agreement and the interests of all parties,” Zelenskyy tweeted.
