Bhopal. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that this time in the state, crops were damaged due to hail and untimely rain in three rounds. The government has decided to distribute relief funds by conducting a crop survey. The government stands with the farmers in the hour of crisis. No stone will be left unturned to take the farmers across the crisis. He said that Madhya Pradesh is the only state where maximum relief amount is provided to the farmers in case of loss of crops.

Chief Minister Chouhan was virtually distributing relief amount to the farmers affected by untimely rain and hailstorm from his residence office Samatva Bhavan on Friday evening. He distributed relief amount of Rs 159 crore 52 lakh with a single click. Public Works Minister Gopal Bhargava, Principal Secretary Revenue Manish Rastogi and other departmental officers were present on the occasion. People’s representatives, commissioners-collectors and farmers were connected virtually from the respective districts.

Along with the relief amount, the benefit of crop insurance scheme will also be available.

The Chief Minister said that farmers work hard day and night with sweat and blood, only then food grains come home. The government will fully help the farmers in the time of crisis. Wherever there has been loss of crops, survey will be done and relief amount will be provided. Farmers will also be given the benefit of crop insurance scheme on the basis of crop harvesting experiment. The employees of Revenue, Agriculture and Panchayat and Rural Development Department have done the survey work. Full care has been taken to get the survey work done properly. He said that the money of the relief amount will come into your account, for this I congratulate you a lot.

Loan recovery from affected farmers suspended

Chief Minister Chouhan said that our resolve is to provide complete help to the farmers. Loan recovery from affected farmers has been postponed. 55 thousand rupees will be given separately on the marriage of the daughter of the affected farmers. Farmers have no need to worry. Will leave no stone unturned in providing ample relief amount. Wheat procurement is going on at the support price. We have decided that if the shine of wheat has gone due to rain, then wheat without shine will also be bought.

Farmers are fully satisfied with the survey of crops

The Chief Minister interacted with farmers Rambabu of Vidisha district, Pran Singh of Sagar district, Savita Yadav of Shivpuri and Dayal Singh of Mandsaur. He asked the farmers whether the survey of your crops was done properly or not, are you satisfied or not. All the farmers said that the survey of crops was done very well, there was no problem, we are completely satisfied. The farmers said that the Chief Minister has done a very good job for the poor.
