On the eve of Victory Day, the Interregional Festival of Amateur Children’s Cinema will be held in the Tver region

It will take place on May 4 and 5 at the Tver Regional House of Folk Art.

This year it is dedicated to the 78th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Video studios for children and young people from 11 regions of Russia participate in the festival.

The festival was organized on the initiative of Governor Igor Ruden to increase the role of cinema lovers in the patriotic, aesthetic and moral education of young people, to preserve the memory of the heroic past of our motherland and the feat of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. Support for its implementation is provided by the Russian State House of Folk Art named after VD Polenov.

“The ‘We are faithful to our memory’ festival is a clear proof that the younger generation cherishes this memory. Bright, interesting and touching works depict the history of the Tver region, a people whose fate was burned by war,” Governor Igor Rudenya said.

This year, more than 60 amateur films about war and labor veterans, their relatives and descendants, historical events of the Great Patriotic War, preservation of historical memory and events of modern times were presented at the festival. .

On May 4, in the Tver Regional House of Folk Art at 10:00 a.m., the festival opens and the viewing of competitive works from video studios for children and young people from the Arkhangelsk, Belgorod, Nizhny Novgorod, Ryazan, Sverdlovsk and Tver regions, the Republics of Bashkortostan and Mari El, the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Moscow and St. Petersburg will take place.

The Tver region in the creative competition will be represented by film and video studios from Tver, Kalininsky, Konakovsky, Kuvshinovsky, Torzhoksky, ZATO Ozerny, Firovsky, Oleninsky, Lesnoy, Rameshkovsky, Kashinsky, Vyshnevolotsky, Nelidovsky and Udomelsky districts.

The solemn award ceremony for the winners and the screening of the best films will take place on May 5 at the Panorama cinema and concert hall at 2:00 p.m.

The Tver Regional House of Folk Art invites residents and guests of the Upper Volga region to see the works and the award ceremony for the winners of the festival.
