The conflict of neighbors for domestic reasons in St. Petersburg ended in a shootout with the police and the death of the perpetrator of the incident.
According to the press service of the Interior Ministry, the incident took place in a residential building in Moskovsky Prospekt in St. Petersburg. On Friday evening, residents approached the service unit with a complaint about a rowdy 65-year-old neighbor.
Police officers, with the help of lifeguards, attempted to enter the offender’s apartment through the window, but the pensioner fired on them, wounding Private EMERCOM in the shoulder. In response, it was decided to storm the apartment with the participation of special forces. And again, the security forces came under fire.
“After the employees entered the apartment, the landlord opened fire on them with a pump-action shotgun, firing three times. The charges hit shields and armor protection,” the Interior Ministry press service said.
Other actions were developed in accordance with the Law “On the Police”, which provides for the use of service weapons to protect police officers.
“The attacker was injured by a response and died before the arrival of the ambulance,” said the Interior Ministry.
None of the local residents were injured in the shooting.
Earlier, the defendant’s attack on the escort in the building of the Karabash city court in the Chelyabinsk region was reported.
