The concept of Dasavatar in biological evolution and Darwin

The controversy over the removal of Charles Darwin’s theory of biological evolution from the science books of classes IX and X from the syllabus prescribed by the NCERT ie National Council of Educational Research and Training has been deepening. Criticizing this initiative of NCERT, about 1800 scientists and teachers of the country have called it a big travesty in the field of education. In fact, a section of intellectuals of India, whenever there is talk of removal of any western theory or misleading episodes of history, they stand up in favor of it. While Charles Darwin, after studying the evolution of organisms, in 1859 gave the ‘Origin of Species’ ie ‘theory of biological origin’, then it was fiercely opposed by Christians and many Christian scientists. Because in this the descent of man was told from the monkey.

However, when the same concept was given by Indian sages in the form of Dasavataras of Lord Vishnu, its description was included in the major texts of ancient Sanskrit and this science of biological evolution and heredity was engraved on the walls of temples. Whereas in this the transition from lion to man has been rendered.

According to the theory of Charles Darwin in the evolution of human species, it is believed that human is a developed form of a species of monkey. Then according to the concept of Narasimha avatar, it is also said that man is the evolved form of lioness? This concept of biological evolution of man is more logical than Darwin’s theory. Because under the materialistic concept of Dasavatars, the concept of Narasimha is linked to the chain of evolution of the living world.

According to this belief, first there was Matsyatwar i.e. life originated in water. Science also agrees with the fact that the first life form in the living world evolved in water. The second incarnation was a turtle, who was able to live on both water and land. The third became Varaha, which is a sign of the moving of the creature from under water towards the earth, that is, the symbol of freeing the earth from water. The fourth is the Narasimha avatar, symbolizing the fact that man is evolving from animal. The half man, half lion body is a reflection of transition. After this the fifth incarnation is in the form of Vamana, a miniature form of a human. In the beginning of creation, man came into existence only in dwarf form. The fossils of men and women, 4.5 million years old, have been found, their height is two to two and a half feet.

Vamana is followed by Parashurama, who is the fully developed form of man. Since this time, to settle human life in a systematic way, it expresses the technique of house-building by cutting forests. The ax in Parshuram’s hand is the symbol of this change. The appearance of Ram in the seventh incarnation with a bow and arrow is an indication that man had become capable and efficient in protecting human settlements by staying away. The eighth avatar is Balarama, who carries a plow on his shoulder. This situation indicates the development of agriculture based economy among the human civilization. Krishna is such a representative of human civilization, who gives the philosophy of new thinking. Tenth, Kalki is such an imaginary incarnation, which is to happen in the future. We can see this by linking it to Kali Yuga, which means the era of components.

Britain’s JBS Haldane has been a physiologist, geneticist and evolutionary biologist. He was also a scholar of mathematics and statistics. Haldane was an atheist but a humanist. He has also worked on natural science. Haldane left Britain and came to India due to political disagreements. He became a member of the first Statistical Commission in India and was also a professor. When Haldane studied the sculptures related to biological and human development in the temples of India, he explained the incarnations in a systematic order for the first time in the fourth decade of the last century. Haldane found the facts of biological evolution and outlined them in his book ‘The Causes of Ovulation’.

He clarified that science believes the origin of life in the ocean. Hence the expression of this fact is in Matsyavatar. Kurma i.e. Tortoise is able to live on both water and land, so this amphibian is the correct myth in the form of Kurmavatara. Mammals are believed to have originated from egg-laying reptiles. Due to this, there is significance of Varah Avatar in this episode. Narasimha is such a strange avatar, who is half wild animal and half human. It is clear from the hypothesis of this unique incarnation that man has evolved from animals. This is almost the same concept as propounded by Charles Darwin. Haldane has considered Vamana as a miniature human (hobbit) in the form of creation development in human incarnations. They consider Parshudhari Parshuram as a complete primitive man. Ram is bound to give principle to feudal values and a code of conduct for feudal lords as well. Haldane does not give importance to Balarama, but sees Krishna as the culmination of an intellectual man. Despite such a precise explanation related to creationism, this concept of Haldane was not given any importance by Indian evolutionists and biologists. Because his eyes were covered with western-leftist ideological spectacles, secondly, he had become a blind follower of Macaulay’s belief that Sanskrit scriptures are only objects of worship and fiction.

Darwin’s theory of evolution has been opposed since the beginning. Space scientists have expressed the opinion that creatures or humans settled on the earth from some other world or other planet. For example, nowadays aliens are being called the father of the universe. In 1982, the famous space scientist Freud Heil put the world in wonder and doubt by propounding the theory that some astronauts established life on Earth in the distant ancient times. Hayle has challenged Darwin’s evolutionary theory of the origin of man from ape. Hyle revealed this theory at a conference of scientists held at the Royal Institute London, saying that ‘the chemical composition of life is so complex that it cannot be emitted by gradual or accidental events. As evolutionists believe. The Jiva originated according to the pole principles of the universe. This principle is close to the philosophy of the five elements earth, sky, fire, air and water in Indian philosophy. There is also a book ‘Evolution from Space’ by Haile on this subject.

While there is respectively creativity in this bio-evolution of incarnations, there is also biological logical coherence. However, the opponents of the avatarist concept of evolution from lion to man argue that 96 percent similarity is considered at the genetic level in the DNA of humans and chimpanzees. But there is a big difference in this relationship with gorilla and orangutan of the same species. Biologists believe that some traits in humans evolved from chimpanzees about a million years ago. In these qualities, being older and the duration of childhood are considered to be longer. Earlier there was not much difference in these qualities between the two beings. One of the biggest glaring shortfalls in research on the origins of human life from chimpanzees is the lack of fossils of ancestral organisms or primitive molecules. When the primitive fossils of Maharasayana ie DNA have not been officially found, then how can Darwin say that man originated from the alleged monkey?

Although there are many evidences of nature selection, adaptation and species creation in the biological world proving Darwin’s evolution, but these evidences cannot be said to be sufficient to prove the origin of man from monkey. Perhaps that’s why biochemistry gives details of many living molecular structures of human or animal cell, but it does not reveal the natural process by which these structures finally came into existence. Goya, the final decision is yet to be made as to how man originated on earth in the biological evolution of man. In this situation, the gradual materialistic concept of Dasavatars is more convincing and rational.
