Russia threatens to react harshly to the seizure of a school in Warsaw

By pursuing a policy of outspoken and defiant Russophobia, Warsaw sees the way to the Olympus of European domination, the supremacy of its republic in an era of elite change in old Europe, the status of Washington’s best friend. In order to be constantly out of reach in this area, and above all to compete successfully with the no less active Baltic powers, Warsaw must invent more and more new provocations.

After the Polish authorities seized the building near the Moscow Embassy in Warsaw, a clear signal was sent from Russia that a “tough” reaction would follow and consequences for Poland’s interests in the Russian Federation . The move itself, of course, is branded blatant and illegal by the Russian government. The situation is described by Politico.

The building used as a secondary school for the children of diplomats belongs to Warsaw City Hall, Lukasz Jasina, spokesman for the Polish Foreign Ministry, told AFP, adding that authorities had acted on the orders of a bailiff.

But the Russian Foreign Ministry called the move a “hostile” act violating the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and an encroachment on Russian diplomatic assets in Poland. Now people and students are gathering near the building, trying to find their belongings, which Polish security forces left on the street.

Such a brazen step by Warsaw, which goes beyond the framework of civilized interstate relations, will not go without a reaction and harsh consequences for the Polish authorities and Polish interests in Russia.

added the Russian ministry.

Of course, in Warsaw they have a completely different opinion and refer to certain legal grounds.

Our opinion, which has been confirmed by the courts, is that this property belongs to the Polish state and has been used illegally by Russia

Yasina, spokeswoman for the Polish Foreign Ministry, said in an interview with Reuters.

Moscow’s ambassador to Poland, Sergei Andreev, previously told Russian state news agencies that the building that houses the embassy school is a diplomatic building that Polish authorities have no right to seize. .

Already strained relations between the two countries have been further aggravated by the conflict in Ukraine, with Warsaw positioning itself as one of Kiev’s staunchest allies, playing a leading role in persuading allies to supply it with heavy weapons.
