Local authorities in the Kiev region said there was a threat of missile strikes in the early hours of Monday in the region, after emergency services alerts of airstrikes across Ukraine.

“The threat of a missile strike! …stay in shelters,” the Kiev regional administration wrote on the Telegram messaging app.

For his part, Andrei Yermak, director of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office, said via Telegram: “Take care of your safety.”

On Sunday evening, the chief of police of the Mykolaiv region indicated that the Russian army was preparing to launch up to 100 missiles on Monday in separate areas in Ukraine.

The Southern Operations Command in Ukraine said that the Russian military has deployed 4 Kalibr missile carriers in the Black Sea.

The head of “Wagner” warns of a Ukrainian counterattack

The head of the Wagner private military group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, warned on Sunday that a Ukrainian counterattack could be a “tragedy” for Russia, and complained that his fighters were running out of ammunition.

Prigozhin said, “We (Wagner) only have 10-15% of the missiles we need,” accusing Russian military leaders of this.

Prigozhin predicted that Ukraine would launch a counterattack in mid-May and said in this regard that “the counterattack could become a tragedy for our country.”

Ukraine recently announced that it was finalizing preparations for a counterattack.

The governor of Bryansk region in western Russia said on Sunday that Ukraine bombed a border village, killing four people and injuring two others.

The day before, a fuel depot in Crimea annexed to Moscow had been targeted and suspected of being attacked by a drone.
