Berlin, Germany – Germany initiated the reduction of the Russian diplomatic mission in the country. Russia, in turn, will not leave this step without consequences, reports RIA Novosti citing a source at the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“The German side has initiated a further reduction of the Russian diplomatic presence in Germany,” the statement said.
According to the source, Germany is deliberately following the path of “negative escalation” in difficult bilateral relations.
“For our part, we will not leave this without consequences,” he said.
The day before, the head of the German Defense Ministry, Boris Pistorius, had described it as “normal” for Ukraine to carry out military operations on Russian territory, as long as there are no attacks on cities and civilians.
