To the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection BELTA clarified that 2.3 million people in the republic receive labor pensions, explaining that in each case, the length of service and the amount of earnings affect their size.

1.5 billion Belarusian rubles will be allocated for the payment of pensions in May, including 78 million for their increase. By the way, the average retirement pension for a Belarusian who does not work in May will be 705 rubles. Compared to May of last year, this figure has increased by 21%.

In addition, as SOYUZ reported earlier, the amount of benefits for families raising children is also increasing in the republic. The new sizes will be valid from May 1 to July 31, 2023. Thus, families with children aged 3 to 18 during the period of bringing up a child under three years old will receive a monthly payment of 176.07 rubles .

As part of the care of a disabled child under the age of 18, monthly benefits will be paid in the following amount: at the first and second degree of loss of health until the child reaches the age of 18 and in the third and fourth degree of loss of health until the child reaches the age of 3 – 352.13 rubles; with the third and fourth degrees of loss of health after the age of 3 – 422.56 rubles.
As for the allowance for children under 18 infected with HIV, its monthly amount will be 246.49 rubles, inform the information portals.

Commenting on the prospects for growth of material support to the population, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus Tatyana Brantsevich explained to the agency that the dynamics of income will be determined by the achieved economic growth. She pointed out that this year “a task has been set to increase the real disposable income of the population to the level of 104.1%”.

The state, according to her, will do everything necessary, taking into account financial possibilities, so that labor pensions in real terms do not decrease. “We also expect more and more Belarusians to try to increase their income during their well-deserved rest with the help of a new voluntary funded pension insurance program,” Brantsevich explained.
