“In the morning, the Ukrainian armed forces shelled the village of Korkovichi in the Starodubsky district,” Bogomaz said in a post on his Telegram channel.
He added: “There were no casualties. Following the shelling, a fire broke out in one of the houses. All emergency services are present at the site.”
Ukraine has never claimed responsibility for any attacks inside Russia or on Russian-occupied Ukrainian territory.
However, the Ukrainian army announces the activities and movements of forces in the combat zones on a daily basis.
Bogumaz said on Monday that a locomotive and 7 freight cars derailed in Bryansk after an unknown explosive device detonated.
