Two Ukrainian tanks, while trying to break through, were hit in the area of the special operation by the crew of the Shturm-S anti-tank missile system (ATGM) of a separate anti-tank artillery battalion from the motorized rifle unit of the Western Military District (ZVO) of the Russian Armed Forces. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The military department released a video recording with the participation of the commander of a platoon of self-propelled anti-tank systems with the call sign “Stary”. He spoke about the success of Russian fighters.

According to him, this type of ATGM is capable of firing at a distance of 5,000-6,000 meters. The final range of the projectile depends on the missiles themselves.

“A tank attack in the amount of two units was repelled. We hit the tanks. The tanks were no longer able to enter the battle … We hit the targets from the first shot … ”, explained the soldier.

He added that the Shturm-S is actually used in the NMD area not only to destroy Ukrainian tanks, but also to destroy other military equipment and long-term enemy firing points. It is also involved in carrying out strikes against aerial targets, including helicopters and drones.

Earlier it was reported about the defeat of the Ukrainian Su-25 aircraft from the RF Armed Forces anti-aircraft missile system. The attack aircraft fell near Kherson.
