New Delhi. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will participate in the 56th Annual General Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) over a four-day period from May 2-5 in South Korea. An Indian delegation will also represent the Finance Minister. The Finance Ministry gave this information.
The Finance Ministry said in a statement issued on Monday that the Union Finance Minister will leave for South Korea tonight to attend the 56th Annual General Meeting of the Board of Directors of ADB. Sitharaman will participate in investor, bilateral and other related meetings in Incheon during this period. The delegation accompanying the Finance Minister includes officials from the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance.
According to the ministry, the finance minister will also hold talks with global economists, governors and finance ministers of ADB member countries during her four-day visit to South Korea. Apart from this, Sitharaman will interact with global business leaders and investors in the roundtable. The meeting will be attended by official delegations from ADB member countries as well as observers, representatives of nongovernmental and civil society organizations, the media, financial institutions, banks, and private companies.
