Planes of the military transport aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces evacuated Russian citizens from Sudan. The corresponding order was given by the President of the Russian Federation. It is specified that more than two hundred people have already been delivered to their homeland.
As explained in the military department, among those who will be delivered to the Russian Federation in the near future are employees of the Russian diplomatic mission, representative offices of the Russian Ministry of Defense and their family members, citizens of Russia, CIS countries and a number of friendly foreign states who have requested assistance in returning to their home countries.
To fulfill this mission, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation specially assigned several aircraft of military transport aviation.

Among those who have already landed in Russia are not only citizens of our country, but also representatives of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Serbia and Bangladesh. There are also Ukrainian citizens among the evacuees.
It is known that the security of civilians traveling to Khartoum airport to be evacuated to Moscow was provided by Russian SOF specialists. The evacuation proceeded normally.
