Dubai: Two people were killed in an explosion at a base of the paramilitary Revolutionary Guard in Iran on Tuesday evening. This information has been given in the news published in the local media. However, nothing has been told about the damage caused by the explosion in the news. A state news agency said the explosion occurred “while carrying ammunition” at a Revolutionary Guard base on the outskirts of Damghan city in northern Semnan province. No other information was given about the cause of the explosion. The incident is being investigated.

The semi-official news agency said on its Telegram channel that two employees of the military base were killed and three others were wounded in the blast. The Revolutionary Guard, which carries out military operations across the Middle East and supports organizations such as Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Palestine, has been targeted several times in the past, raising tensions in the region. In February, based on satellite images, Iran claimed that an Israeli drone strike damaged one of its military workshops. However, he did not tell what things were manufactured in this workshop.
