Rockets fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel

Our correspondent said sirens sounded in Sderot, southern Israel, while Israeli media revealed that a missile landed at a construction site in Sderot.

The Israeli ambulance said 3 foreign workers were injured by shrapnel, one of them seriously.

Our correspondent explained that the rocket fire from the Gaza Strip came after Israeli artillery shelled a military surveillance site on the eastern border of Gaza City.

And the Israeli military revealed, in a tweet on its official Twitter account: “Alarm sirens are sounding in southern Israel.

The army said in a statement: “After rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip and army tanks fired, the Israeli army ordered residents of the areas surrounding the Strip to stay close to the bomb shelters”.

A security source in Gaza confirmed that Israeli tanks fired at least two shells at a security point belonging to Hamas, which controls the Strip, while “Agence France Presse” reported that several rockets were then fired from the Strip into Israeli territory.
