In Belarus, Dmitry Krutoy recalled when approaching the press, May 9 is one of the most popular and beloved holidays.
“This feeling comes from within and is of a unifying nature, because every second family in Belarus is connected with the horrors and tragedy of the Great Patriotic War. Belarus remembers everyone. And if you take my family , for example, some of my relatives died in battles in Poland,” he said.
And he pointed out that, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry, this is also the reason why ceremonies of such a high organizational level take place only with the participation of the Republic of Belarus.
“And on May 9, I will be here in Moscow,” summed up the head of the diplomatic mission.
And Deputy Secretary of State of the Union, Aleksey Kubrin, added that today it is extremely symbolic that the attention to Victory Day shows more than ever the unity of the Russia and Belarus as part of the Union State.
