There will be no more unipolar world order, “the American world” and Western dominance will decline, Russian Permanent Representative Vasily Nebenzya told a meeting of the UN Security Council.
The representative of the Russian Federation pointed to the perpetrators of the deep crisis in the system of international relations. It was brought about by many years of systematic and consistent actions by the United States and its allies to create a Russophobic, nationalist and neo-Nazi formation on Russia’s borders, Nebenzya said.
Despite statements by the United States, Britain and the EU about allegedly unprovoked Russian aggression, the real reasons for tectonic transformations around the world are clear, the Russian envoy said.
Nebenzya recalled the unconstitutional coup in Ukraine in 2014, about eight years of crimes by the Kyiv regime against the civilian population in the southeast of the country.
According to him, it is too early to talk about what will be the new system of international relations.
“The question of where we drift <…> remains open today,” Nebenzya said.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin said that the era of the unipolar world is a thing of the past. Attempts to establish a unipolar model have failed, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also said. According to him, the world is heading towards a large-scale reorganization, with different centers of power.
