Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

China’s foreign minister says Beijing is ready to resolve Ukraine crisis with Russia – Reuters

Qing Gang stressed that Beijing intends to persistently promote the peace talks. “We are ready, through contacts and coordination with the Russian Federation, to make a real contribution to the political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis,” the Chinese ministry said quoting its minister.
It is also noted that in a meeting with the Russian Foreign Minister, Qin Gang stressed the strengthening of interaction between Beijing and Moscow after Chinese President Xi Jinping’s March visit to Moscow. The Chinese Foreign Minister stressed that China and Russia have been maintaining increasingly active contacts at all levels, promoting cooperation in all fields.

Recall that last February, China declared that it was “ready to play a constructive role” in creating platforms for a political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis through negotiation. Beijing has offered its plan to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, which includes 12 points.

In April, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation. The Chinese leader announced that he was ready to send his representative to Ukraine, as well as other countries, to hold consultations on resolving the crisis. Jinping also added that Beijing favors a ceasefire.
