Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has greeted everyone on the occasion of Buddha Purnima today.
Shri Chouhan has said through a tweet, “Hearty greetings to all of you on Buddha Purnima. Lord Buddha’s sacrificial life and his excellent thoughts will remain an inspiration for the entire humanity for ages. Come, let us all imbibe his invaluable teachings and contribute in building the best society.
State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Vishnudutt Sharma said in a message issued through social media that Lord Bu has given the message of truth, non-violence, peace and human religion to the whole world with his knowledge and education. His thoughts will continue to inspire us to continue walking on the path of humanity and mutual understanding. Several other state cabinet members of the party have also issued messages on the occasion of Buddha Purnima.
Meanwhile, Buddha Purnima is being celebrated in the state today. The followers of Buddhism are worshiping Lord Buddha through special events, worship and meditation etc. Lord Buddha was born and attained parinirvana on the day of Buddha Purnima.
